international conference on composite materials and their applications in power systems (cmaps 2017) will be held on october 20th – 22th in shanghai, china, will be jointly organized by chinese society for electrical engineering (csee), national committee of china of cigre, key laboratory of composite materials on electrical insulation, national energy administration, will be hosted by jiangsu shemar electric co., ltd, (shemar).

it is a great pleasure for cmaps 2017 to invite potential authors around the world who have significant contributions in power fields to submit papers. 

1. brief introduction to cmaps 2017

conference theme: innovation of outdoor insulation: t & d 

cmaps 2017 will organize some workshops and paper communication, to invite scholars to discuss composite materials and their innovations and applications from the topics of material research, product design, engineering, manufacture, test, construction and operation. the transmission outdoor insulation part will give a continuous concern on technical innovation of substation composite insulators and composite cross-arm tower in overhead lines. distribution part will focus on the technical innovation on the applications of composite materials in distribution lines. their technical and economic advantages will be discussed.

researchers from institutes, universities and utilities, designers and operators from utilities, electrical equipment manufacturers all over the world will be invited to the conference. 

conference language is english.

2. main topics (including, but not limited to) 

-research on composite materials used in power system

-designing, manufacturing, test, operation of substation composite outdoor insulation

-designing, manufacturing, test, operation of composite cross-arm tower

-research on application of composite materials in distribution lines

-research on new composite materials

3. requirements for papers

- please submit your abstract and full paper online at http://www.cmaps.com.cn template can be downloaded from the website (http://www.csee.org.cn/). 

- requirements for abstract: the abstract of your paper must be submitted in english. it should clearly express what the main technical ideas including title, subject, major ideas, data and conclusion etc. and also the author's name, company, telephone, fax number, e-mail and mail address. the abstract should not be more than 500 words. the example for the abstract can be found at the website (http://www.csee.org.cn/). authors from china can submit a copy in chinese at the same time. please submit the abstract by may 31, 2017. main authors will be notified of the abstract selection results by june 30, 2017.

-requirements for full paper: authors should submit full paper in english after being informed of acceptance of the submitted abstract. the paper selection is mainly based on the english format. the figures, chart, diagram and pictures are welcome to use in the paper to help clearly express your achievement. the whole paper should not exceed 5 a4 papers in common. in the final of paper, a brief introduction to the main author should be contained. authors from china have to submit a chinese copy of the full paper at the same time. please submit the full paper by aug 31, 2017. main authors will be notified of the full paper selection results by sept 30, 2017.
